DUST Search - The "invisible man" glitch is still around & exploitable.

Set your graphics settings in game to low so you can see them. If you set everything to high or medium you never see them.

My graphics are never higher than 480 to start due to other issues that come from HD and this game. Most matches myself and teammates confirm the invisible player on the field. Though switching graphics does still help with rendering issues.

Have you checked the invisible player's fittings to see if there's a pattern? I suspect a few things here - scout suits alone are very quick movers, next up are profile dampeners that remove or lower the profile on the map or if they're using kinetic stabilizers or stamina stabilizers. And if they're proto shotgunning and proto knifing behind perhaps they're using a good tactic that's difficult to see.

I currently use a dragonfly and minmatar medium suit that can nail people behind and run away pretty quickly. However I'd like to join you on some of your matches sometime to see if we can spot these invisible guys.

However believe me I'm not a noob or bad player that will claim invisibility if I've been snuck up on no, I'm speaking of quite literally invisible people, as in when they shoot, you see bullets coming from a person that isn't there. Known exploiters of the glitch also exist, the in4am0us corp I referred to is a known corp who abuses it every so often, they made a thread and reported it to CCP then tried to defend themselves saying something along the lines of "oh well you're lucky we reported it to CCP, we could've just abused the glitch and used it competitively". Funny seeing as how they tried it in PC and still lost. The corp doesn't abuse it so much anymore, however a few of its players still do. E.G. SmokeyNutz who runs w/ ishukone nova knives,proto shotguns, and a scout Mk.0 to utilise the glitch most effectively( no stream of bullets to give his invisible position away, insta kill weapons, and high mobility.)

On the other hand, I certainly don't want to run around with an unfair advantage. No there is no way to undo it in-game once you're invisible, even if you die, you will respawn invisible. The glitch is triggered by pressing circle a few times once you have the blackscreen, however the exploiters know how to trigger the blackscreen- Ideally if you want to be a good sport and end your invisibility, you would just leave game. However no one does that, they just enjoy it while it lasts if they did it randomly.
